History
Sannat became a parish separate from Victoria in 1688. The present church was begun in 1718 on the site of a smaller church, consecrated in 1755 and substantially adapted in the nineteenth century before being re-consecrated in 1868.

The church has a symmetrical Baroque façade and carefully worked limestone details. Its altarpiece was painted by the local artist Stefano Erardi.
