Plan Your Gozo Day
Choose the places you want to visit, decide where you want to start and create your own route around Gozo. The planner is designed to make it easier to turn a list of places into a practical day out.
Your Gozo itinerary starts here
Use the interactive map to select the places you want to see. Add a starting point, then organise your chosen stops into a route that makes the most of your time on the island.
Open the Gozo route planner →Choose your places
Select the beaches, bays, viewpoints, villages, landmarks and other places you want to visit.
Choose a start
Use your preferred starting point for the day, such as the Gozo ferry area or your accommodation.
Check visit times
Where a suggested visit time is available, it can help you judge how much of the day your stops will take.
Build your route
Use the planner to organise your selected places into a practical Gozo itinerary.
What can you plan?
The planner is intended for all kinds of Gozo day trips. You don't have to follow a fixed tourist itinerary — choose the places that interest you and build your own route.
Beaches
Build a coastal day around beaches and swimming spots such as Ramla, Xwejni or Daħlet Qorrot.
History & Archaeology
Combine historic places and archaeological sites with other stops along your route.
Views & Countryside
Add viewpoints, walks and countryside locations to make a more varied day.
Villages
Visit several villages or use one as a stop between coastal and countryside locations.
Food & Drink
Plan a lunch or refreshment stop as part of your route around the island.
Activities
Add activities and experiences to a route instead of planning every stop separately.
Suggested visit times
Some places on e-Malta include a suggested visit time. These are intended as useful planning estimates rather than fixed limits.
A beach may need longer if you want to swim and relax, while a viewpoint might only need a short stop. Use the suggested times as a starting point and adjust your day to suit you.
Where should you start?
Gozo visitors arrive through the ferry terminal at Mġarr, while visitors staying on the island can use their accommodation as their starting point. The best starting point depends on where you are staying and what you want to see.
You can also use the map to explore the island first and decide on your starting point afterwards.
Make your own Gozo itinerary
There is no single "best" route around Gozo. A beach day, a history day and a countryside day can all look completely different.
The advantage of the e-Malta planner is that you can start with the places you actually want to see and then work out how they fit together.
Can I just use the map without planning a route?
Yes. The Gozo map can also be used simply to explore locations and open their individual e-Malta pages.
Do I have to visit every place I select?
No. Select the places that interest you and adjust your choices as you build your day.
Can I change my route?
The planner is designed around selecting and organising your chosen locations, so you can refine your itinerary as you decide what you want to do.
