Daħlet Qorrot

Daħlet Qorrot is a small inlet on Gozo's north-eastern coast. The sheltered bay has a distinctive character, with rocky sides dropping towards the water and traditional boat shelters built into the surrounding limestone.

It is a quieter coastal stop than the larger resort beaches and is particularly interesting for visitors who want to see a different side of Gozo's coastline.

The bay is reached by a steep road down towards the coast, but the setting at the bottom makes the journey worthwhile.

What can you do at Daħlet Qorrot?

🏊 Swim

The sheltered setting can make the bay a pleasant place for swimming when sea conditions are suitable. The shoreline is rocky rather than a conventional sandy beach.

🤿 Snorkel

The clear water and rocky sides of the inlet can be good for snorkelling when visibility is good. Take care around the rocks and any boats using the bay.

🚶 Explore the bay

Walk around the small coastal area and look at the traditional boat shelters and limestone surroundings. The compact size makes it easy to explore during a short visit.

🛶 See the boat shelters

One of Daħlet Qorrot's most distinctive features is the collection of traditional boat shelters cut into or built against the rock around the bay.

🌅 Enjoy the views

The elevated road approaching the bay provides attractive views over the inlet and the surrounding north-eastern coastline.

A small Gozo coastal escape

Daħlet Qorrot is best suited to visitors looking for a quiet coastal stop, swimming and local character rather than a large organised beach.

Its traditional boat shelters and sheltered setting give it an identity of its own and make it a worthwhile addition to a Gozo coastal itinerary.

e-Malta tip: Allow extra time if you want to walk around the bay and examine the traditional boat shelters rather than simply stopping for a swim.
