Mġarr ix-Xini and the coast
The limits of Sannat also reach towards Mġarr ix-Xini, a sheltered inlet with a very different character from the exposed plateau. The contrast between the high cliffs and the enclosed creek makes this part of Gozo especially varied.

Sannat's parish church is dedicated to St Margaret and forms the centre of local community life. A walk through the square and surrounding streets gives a useful contrast to the wide rural landscape outside the village.
